Municipal Court is responsible for the processing of citations and complaints issued by the Sweet Home Police Department, City’s Code Enforcer, City Attorney, and by private citizens within the City of Sweet Home.

The two Court Clerks are responsible for:
  • Coordinating and conducting pre-trial hearings and trials
  • Processing and accounting for misdemeanor and violation citations and complaints
  • Issuing warrants
  • Processing DUI diversions, suspension of driving privileges, and collection of fines
  • Monitoring bench probation

Violations Bureau
Municipal Court also offers a Violations Bureau, which gives the Clerks the authority to take pleas on traffic violation cases and assess fines.

This allows an individual who receives a traffic ticket to come to court any time prior to the scheduled court date without having to appear before the Judge.
