The Friends of the Library was established in 1984 to help support the library. The Friends purchase many items the library needs to help stretch the library's book budget. Current membership is about 40 people.

In February 2008, the Friends celebrated five years as the proprietors of a used bookstore.

The store is staffed five days per week by volunteers. The bookstore is currently located at:
1242 Main St.
Sweet Home, OR

The Friends also do other fundraisers throughout the year. It is not a requirement to work in the bookstore. We try to fit talents, tasks, and people to the right job.
